Great Academy Ashton are working towards the  Rainbow Flag Award.

We are demonstrating a commitment to improve the lives of all young people we work with, through a focussed initiative to support lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) inclusion.

This includes but is not limited to improving the lives of LGBT pupils, LGBT staff, and LGBT parents.

Student Responsibility

As an inclusive and diverse academy we expect our students to take responsibility for any LGBTQ discrimination. View our LGBTQ Pupil Infomation.

To further support the LGBTQ community Great Academy Ashton values the importance of educating our students, especially in the use of language.  Often this can be confusing for young people and adults. Please view our glossary of terms.
