Man United Foundation
Manchester United Foundation are in partnership with Great Academy Ashton to deliver a range of innovative programmes and projects for the Academy to support our students both within their curricular subjects as well as helping develop their interpersonal skills.
The Foundation also provides support with additional activities such as enrichment, extra-curricular, holiday programmes whilst uniting the surrounding community through the power of football and sport. Dedicated Foundation staff deliver educational and community outreach programmes to help young people make positive choices in their lives.

The Foundation delivers educational and community outreach programmes to help young people make positive choices in their lives by improving their:
Physical and Mental Health

Targeted Interventions
The MU Foundation support students with various soft skill development, maximising their ability to engage in core subjects. Targeted interventions include MUF leadership pathway, health and wellbeing, aspirational and Cross-Curricular projects.
Mentoring
Specific students across GAA work with Ryan to develop their ‘Future Me’ skills that will support them not only in school but in later life.
Extra-Curricular
As part of the partnership with the MU Foundation, students are given the opportunity to attend a range of extra-curricular clubs ran by MUF as well as be given the chance to go on trips and exchanges. The MUF also deliver holiday camps for current and upcoming students to attend free of charge.
Transition
MU Foundation support the transition with students from Y6-Y7. This may be in the form of transition events as well as providing support within the local primary schools.
Competitions, Rewards and Prizes
As part of the partnership with the MU Foundation we reward students with prizes such as MU training kit and equipment to give to students who are following the school GREAT values. Monthly competitions are available for ALL students to take part in!
Community Engagement
MU Foundation deliver weekly Street Reds sessions each Thursday, 5-8pm at GAA. Street Reds offers free football sessions and alternative activities for young people aged 8-18, with the opportunity to learn new skills and gain qualifications in a supportive and positive environment.
